ABOUT
SAGE NAUMANN
PROPRIETOR, ANTHEM COMMUNICATIONS
SAGE’S ADORING FANS
Communications connoisseur, digital strategy and design dynamo, and aspiring time traveler to the 1930s-1960s — as least if his wardrobe and furniture is anything to go by.
Sage is the Proprietor of Anthem Communications, helping organizations and candidates dedicated to conservative policy, economic liberty, and correcting the course of our Republic. He also loves to work for businesses – large and small – to differentiate them in a crazy marketplace. He is also Senior Advisor to 76 Group, where he plays a role as utility player, assisting clients with their communications and design needs.
Sage previously orchestrated the media and public relations symphony for the Colorado Senate Republicans for nearly five sessions.
Born and nearly political from the crib in sunny Carlsbad, California, Sage (after an admirably narrow and thoroughly grueling school board campaign defeat) packed up his ambitions, his vintage suit collection, and his family and set course for the wilds of Colorado in 2017. Sage, his wife Dzhamilya, son Claremont, two dogs, four ducks, and the countless ghosts of a century home now reside in a charming 1919 Craftsman bungalow in historic Brighton.
Sage’s professional dance card is impressively full. He’s a self-taught maestro of all things media, from graphic design to social media strategy, wielding hashtags and typography with the ease most reserve for their morning coffee. Previous to moving to Colorado, Sage spent a number of years at the Republican Party of San Diego County, helping craft a volunteer-driven door-to-door canvassing program that spanned the entire county with over 700 canvassers.
Sage’s heart beats for community and history. He served as Chair on Brighton’s Historical Preservation Commission and has lent his expertise to various boards from fire department foundations to beach preservation committees.
When not being quoted in the local press, Sage finds solace in the world of vintage threads, home projects, and the occasional video game escapade. His personal life is a mosaic of inspiration and challenge; he draws strength from his brother Dylan, who lives with cerebral palsy, and channels his experiences with familial substance abuse into advocacy and action. Sage’s mother, Tamara, succumbed to alcoholism at the age of 44 in 2016, and his father, Steven, is over 17 years sober.
To follow Sage’s blend of political insights and personal anecdotes, you can read his regular contributions to the Colorado Springs Gazette, Denver Gazette, and Colorado Politics, alongside his Substack newsletter, where he explores the intriguing intersection of politics and personal style with both humor and a touch of self-deprecation.
