About Sage Naumann
Meet the Proprietor!
Sage Naumann is a design dynamo, communications connoisseur, and aspiring time traveler (at least if his wardrobe and furniture are anything to go by).
He is the Proprietor of Anthem Communications, a one-man creative shop dedicated to helping small businesses do big things. From logos and websites to packaging and strategy, Sage helps companies stand out in crowded markets with branding that feels timeless and communication that connects.
Born and raised in sunny Carlsbad, California, Sage eventually packed up his ambitions, his vintage suit collection, and his young family for the wide-open promise of Colorado in 2017. Today, he, his wife Dzhamilya, son Claremont, two dogs, six ducks, and the countless ghosts of a century home reside in a charming 1919 Craftsman bungalow in historic Brighton.
A self-taught maestro of all things media, Sage has built a career blending design, storytelling, and strategy into campaigns that actually move the needle. He’s worked with everything from mom-and-pop shops to growing regional firms, giving each the same level of care and attention he’d put into his own business.
Community and history remain at the heart of Sage’s work. He has served on Brighton’s Historical Preservation Commission and lent his skills to organizations ranging from fire department foundations to beach preservation committees.
When he isn’t helping businesses build their brands, Sage can be found hunting for vintage treasures, tackling home restoration projects, photographing the world around him, or learning something new. His personal life is a mosaic of inspiration and challenge; he draws strength from his brother Dylan, who lives with cerebral palsy, and channels his experiences with familial substance abuse into advocacy and action. Sage’s mother, Tamara, succumbed to alcoholism at the age of 44 in 2016, and his father, Steven, is over 17 years sober.
